This session is for you when now is the time to start making changes in your life, baby steps or a giant leap. Changing habits and behaviours starts with setting clear intentions, identifying the blocks to success and creating strong supportive inner dialogue to bring back feelings of peace and joy.

Kinesiology is especially useful for people who have complex health histories and may be feeling like they are going around in circles and not getting any better. If you feel like you've hit a dead-end, kinesiology can help you to tune into the messages your body is giving you and give you choices to get your life back on track.

If you've been toying with the idea of learning a therapy or sharing your healing with others, this session is a great way to find out if learning kinesiology is for you.

WHY WOULD YOU NEED IT?

Everyone deserves to receive support and feel worthy of peace and contentment. If we could just go out and make the changes we desire in life, we just would! It's not always as easy as that, but it can be. Our daily thoughts, feeling and actions can have a major impact on how we experience the world. If you are not currently feeling focused, clear, energised and peace in your life, you need to see me. 

WHAT WILL IT DO FOR YOU?

A kinesiology session will provide clarity, reduce muscle pain and fatigue and help you to tune in to the wisdom within you. You will experience a releasing of negative unhelpful thoughts and memories that have got stuck at the physical level leaving you feeling relaxed, clearer, content and confident to get on with living.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

Once you’ve booked your session you will receive an email from us inviting you to fill in the paperwork before we meet. This saves us time with the admin tasks and also helps us to begin getting tuned into your goals and desired outcomes. However, some people may prefer us to do this together in our first session, and that's ok too. 

At your session in person or on-line we’ll talk about your history and what is going on. We will ask questions that help us to begin to see the patterns that may have been repeating in your life and possible areas of significance you may have missed.

While this is an opportunity for you to share your story, it differs from counselling as we focus on the underlying themes and identify the areas where you want change. We will define your desired outcome of our work together and create an individualised plan to work together for three sessions. 

We determine your heartfelt intention for the session and how that relates to the bigger picture. We start the kinesiology process with checking how this feels for you at a physical level, providing you with greater awareness and offering you a chance to feel deeply heard and understood. You may be asked to demonstrate actions that cause you pain (such as raising your arm) or activities that you want to improve (such as a favourite yoga pose) or even to just walk around the room. We observe your posture and how it is affected by pain or tension. These baseline assessments help us to understand your current condition and goals.

Muscle testing is a key tool used in kinesiology, helping to identify priority healing areas without the client needing to recount every detail of a past trauma. It connects the broader issues to the physical context and is especially useful for addressing nutritional concerns, allergies, and sensitivities. Usually, the client lies face up on the massage table during the muscle testing phase, although we can do the session seated if preferred. We use muscle testing from this point to identify blocks and imbalances and to indicate the healing you require. Just like people, no two healing sessions are the same.

The things that hold us back from achieving or goals and desires are not always part of our conscious thoughts and feelings. During the healing phase of your session, we address any self-sabotaging behaviours or beliefs. We identify significant thoughts, feelings, or memories linked to pain or hurt. Sometimes we find beautiful memories that remind you of the good times or of your natural gifts and talents. The process is often joyful and uplifting, fostering hope and self-acceptance.

The healing techniques we use come from our many years of working with a variety of kinesiology modalities.This includes PKP (Professional Kinesiology Practice), Counselling Kinesiology, Hypertonix and many other gems collected from kinesiology conferences and advanced practitioner opportunities.

The healing process includes talk therapy and (mostly) gentle hands-on techniques. It may involve correcting muscle tightness, weakness or pain, trigger point therapy, meridian therapy, flower essences (especially Australian Bush Flower Essences), techniques that reduce emotional distress and reduce reactive patterns, and mindfulness practices that you can repeat regularly to enhance the healing experience.

Before we finish the session, we re-evaluate the baseline assessments so that we are both clear on how far you have progressed towards your goal. We identify specific actions you can take, whether its practicing new ways of thinking and feeling, exploring new behaviours, or specific kinesiology techniques to keep you on your new path to success.

Online sessions (These are available with Susan only)

Most people who live local prefer to come into the studio however if you are not able to attend in person we can still work together just as successfully via an online video call. The online session follows the same format as the session in the clinic as outlined above and we use a slightly different process to perform the physical checks. I will ask you to demonstrate, touch, hold and feel into the process as we work.
